The Spacelines: one garment, start to finish.
We developed and made this collection for our own clothing label, The Spacelines, in Faridabad. The denim trousers below went through our four stages of development, sourcing, sampling and manufacturing.

Development

Sourcing

- We checked suitable fabrics from our library and mills, including alternatives to the first choice.

- Swatches with composition, construction and width against each option.

Sampling

- The approved specification, fabric and size set.
- Our work
- We cut and sewed the first sample in-house, then corrected fit and construction before bulk cutting.
- Result
- Prototype and fit samples with an updated specification.

Manufacturing & finishing
- Starting point
- A signed sample, the order quantity and the size ratio.
- Our work
- We organised cutting, stitching and finishing, with checks during production and before packing.
- Result
- Packed goods with the labels, tags and packaging named in the specification.
